Covid Reverie
dan raphael
My nose is never enough air
i celebrate, i fizz
colander, window screen
hold light in my hands, in my mouth
When my eyes refuse to close
i will the clouds to come closer
as what piles up can’t be taken away
things decide, stillness always a percentage
as the tiny bits gravity doesn’t effect are
outnumbered & multiply contained
How many shelters inside of me
“i treat my body like a temple
you treat your body like a tent”
not too big not too small
keeps out the rain and wind,
lets light in and keeps it there with warmth
the walls have ears, the ceiling sleeps more than the cats
