J. B. Hogan was nominated for a 2010 Pushcart Prize for his story “Kerosene Heat.” His dystopian novel New Columbia was published in Aphelion and his prize-winning e-book Near Love Stories is online at Cervena Barva Press. He has many stories and poems in such journals as: Cynic Online Magazine, Istanbul Literary Review, Every Day Poets, Ranfurly Review, and the Dead Mule. His work has been anthologized in Flash of Aphelion and Best of Tales from the South: Volume 6. He lives in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Laura Kiesel is a published journalist, essayist, and poet. Her poems have been featured, or are forthcoming, in Upstreet, Amethyst Arsenic, Naugatuck River Review, Fox Chase Review, and Ibbetson Street. As an environmental journalist, she has written for Z Magazine, E Magazine, Earth Island Journal, and other publications. She currently resides in the Boston area, where she works as a freelance writer and editor and instructs writing workshops.
Susi Lovell lived and worked in England, Austria, South Africa, Australia and Colombia before settling in Montréal. An obsessive dancer and choreographer before becoming an obsessive writer, she has written on dance for the Montreal Gazette and holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Lesley University, MA. Her stories have appeared in Grain, Fiddlehead, Kudzu Review, and Metal Scratches.
Stephen Moles has been published by Gemini, Red Fez, Censored Poets, Matchbook, Flashshots, Gone Lawn, United Press, Blink Ink, Why Vandalism? and Pif. He has also written for the stage and screen, and doubles up as a media analyst.
Crawdad Nelson is a journalist, poet, and writer-at-large. He is employed as a writing tutor at a community college. Nelson has worked as laborer, editor, baker, wildcrafter, and tutor. Publications include The Sun, The American Voice, The Anderson Valley Advertiser, Sacramento News and Review, New Settler Interview, and Poetry Flash. Tom Sheehan served with the 31st Infantry Regiment, Korea, 1951. Books include Korean Echoes (Milspeak Books, 2011), Epic Cures: Brief Cases, Short Spans; A Collection of Friends; and From the Quickening. He has 15 Pushcart nominations, a Georges Simenon Fiction Award, and his work was included in Dzanc Best of the Web Anthology for 2009. He has 230 short stories on Rope and Wire Magazine, and print issues that include Rosebud (4) and Ocean Magazine (8) among others. Poetry collections include This Rare Earth and Other Flights; Ah, Devon Unbowed; The Saugus Book; and Reflections from Vinegar Hill.
