Nina Bennett is the author of Forgotten Tears: A Grandmother’s Journey Through Grief. Her poetry has appeared in numerous journals including Pulse, Alehouse, Panache, Yale Journal for Humanities in Medicine, The Broadkill Review, and anthologies such as Spaces Between Us: Poetry, Prose and Art on HIV/AIDS. Nina is a contributing author to the Open to Hope Foundation.
Thomas Benz has a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Notre Dame and has attended writers conferences at the University of Iowa and University of Indiana. He has had stories published in such magazines as The Beacon Street Review, Pangolin Papers, The William and Mary Review, Carve, The Paumanok Review, the Timber Creek Review, Willard and Maple, and others. Last year he won the Solstice Short Fiction Contest and was a finalist in the Flannery O’Connor Short Fiction Collection Contest.
Jeff Burt lives and works in manufacturing in Santa Cruz County, California. His latest publication is Mrs. Linares' Daughter, which won the SuRaa short fiction award in April, 2010.
John DesCamp is the author of Along the Way, his debut collection of poetry, and of numerous legal and business papers that will never be read by anyone except his clients and professional colleagues. He is a recovering attorney and investment banker who hopes to emulate Wallace Stevens' ability to succeed in both the world of finance and the world of poetry.
D.E. Fredd has had fiction and poetry published in over two hundred literary journals and reviews.He received the Theodore Hoepfner Award given by the Southern Humanities Review for the best short fiction of 2005 and was a 2006 Ontario Award Finalist. He won the 2006 Black River Chapbook Competition and received 2007, 2009 and 2010 Pushcart Nominations. He has been included in the Million Writers Award of Notable Stories for 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2010 and was a finalist for the 2008 St Lawrence Book Award.
Raquel Penzo received her Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey after years of writing as a hobby. Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, Raquel writes for pay as a copywriter for the Brooklyn Public Library and for play on her blog www.thejadednyer.net. She is currently working on a collection of short stories and a young adult novel.
Will Pewitt has had stories published by over a dozen journals and has also earned honorable mention for recent contests by The Pinch and Glimmer Train. He received his MFA from the University of Arizona, where he also taught for several years. Currently, he teaches literature and creative writing at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida.
Sarah Rehfeldt is an artist, writer, and photographer. She lives with her family in western Washington. Her most recent publication credits include: Presence Journal; Stone Voices; Dappled Things; Third Wednesday; and Untitled Country.
