who crave approval
he stomps on stage
and says the words
they want to hear
their roar and fury
his punctuation
to smirk and glower
at anyone who dares
dismiss his right
to stand upon
this frail piece of
paper that feared
the mob so many
years ago that now
waves it freely
to blind everyone
who turns to see.
